DOHA, Qatar — Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud condemned Israeli attacks in Qatari capital, Doha, calling them violations of international law and regional peace efforts.

At the emergency Arab-Islamic summit in Doha, Mohamud expressed Somalia’s solidarity with Qatar and urged unity in confronting Israel’s aggression across the Arab world.

“This attack is not just against Qatar — it is an assault on all Arab nations,” President Mohamud told leaders gathered at the summit Sunday.

He emphasized the importance of cooperation among Arab and Islamic countries to defend shared values, territorial integrity, and the rights of oppressed peoples like Palestinians.

“We reaffirm our long-standing support for Palestine,” he said, adding that Israel’s occupation and violence must no longer be tolerated or ignored.

President Mohamud urged unified action to establish a Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital in line with longstanding international resolutions.

He demanded enforcement of United Nations decisions to halt Israeli violations and restore stability to a region suffering from cycles of war, displacement, and political instability.

“The international community must act decisively to stop Israel’s violations and protect Palestinian rights,” said President Mohamud, urging global leaders to take meaningful, coordinated steps.

The summit, hosted in Qatar’s capital, brought together Arab and Islamic leaders responding to what many called escalating threats to peace, dignity, and sovereignty.

President Mohamud concluded by stating Somalia stands firmly for justice, international law, and the right of all peoples to live free from occupation and fear.
