Sir, I am indeed glad to inform you of my exit from the Mission after completion of my colourful tour of duty. I feel proud to have accomplished my duties as ATMIS Force Spokesperson to the expectation of the Mission. This was only possible with the support you have given to me over the period. I will miss your company and friendship and also the beauty of the multi-national environment I was accustomed to in the last one year.
I appreciate and recognise our top leadership for selfless efforts, guidance, and dedication to the guidelines of the Mission mandate.
I extend my appreciation to the Civilian staff of the MHQs, the IST and the ATMIS Police. Believe you me, I’am now a more empowered, more experienced and more professionally mature persona.
The sacrifices we’ve offered individually and collectively for the sake of our beloved Africa with the last drop of our blood will be a life-long inspiration to me. Your resilience in most the difficult, even in the most gruesome encounters is a testimony and concrete proof that Africa has true sons. Bulo Marer incident marks the epitome of an ultimate price paid for the sake of peace and stability.
Peacebuilding is a process and not a one-off activity. As you transit to the next phase of CONOPS and STP, I wish you well and may the AU Mission dream, a noble goal of restoring peace in Somalia, gain bounties of Operational Successes against the terrorists.
May you have the blessing of Almighty Allah to guide and protect you from the weird motives, wicked ways and actions of the enemy. Against all odds, AS is now a weakened outfit. I believe the next course of decisive actions will surely weaken them further and ultimately decimate their total existence.
I honourably, now pass the button to our successors to make the AU dream a reality so as to accomplish ATMIS Mandate. Long live African Union – long Live African Unity.
Once again, I value your friendship, your company, love and cherish all the support given over the period. Though we part ways the, 21st Century world is but a global village. May we live long for another round of interaction as we trot the globe for other duties across African Continent and the world at large.
I salute the AU and conclude by saying “aluta continua”
